It has been a few months since our last update, so we wanted to update you on what we have been working on. After our last release we received a lot of feedback regarding search performance and the adding of additional attributes and images. We’ve been listening and have been working to address some of these requests. Continue reading to learn more about our new search endpoint and other features we have added.

New Resell Link

Within the links object of our V2 api, you will now see Stadium Goods as a new resell source. Any sneaker sold on Stadium Goods will now have a link available in our API. Providing you with an additional source to find information.

360 Degree Images

We have recently added a new property within the image object called “360”. This property is a list of images that show a 360 degree view of the associated sneaker. Not all sneakers within our database have this available so we will continue to work on adding more images.

New Search Endpoint

We didn’t anticipate supporting search as you type functionality with our original “sneakers” endpoint. However, many of our users were using it to do just that and the performance of our search just didn’t cut it. To improve performance, we have created a new “search” endpoint that should be used for all text searches. While we are still working to optimize this endpoint, the performance is 10x faster. Searches that were taking 30 seconds now return results in 2 seconds or less. Not only is the endpoint faster, the relevancy of the results are better as well. Providing you with a better experience all around.

Upcoming Features

We are still working on obtaining UPCs for the sneakers within our database and expect to add them to our database within the upcoming months. We are also working on market valuations at the size level for each sneaker. Providing you with a more accurate overview of the resell market.

As always we The Sneaker Database is here to help make your life easier. If you have any suggestions on enhancement or new features, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
